Did you know you can block and ignore certain sitters? You can flag comments and get them removed? You can create more privacy?
I have been in touch with support and got help in all these areas. I am able to ignore comments from sitters who annoy me, I can add privacy as I told them these particular sitters were looking at my profile, my reviews, and making comments. Apparently crossing the line. There are so many things you learn as you go along. I thought I would post so that others could also investigate these particular issues.
I find there is a lot of support from many people on the forum, but sometimes others just want to judge and put you down. So you can eliminate their comments from your feed. Just to let you know.
Thanks for sharing this feature with the Forum @Huronbase I’ve updated your post title so if anyone searches for something similar, they’ll see your post more easily.
I also thought I’d pop on and share where you can find this feature - just look for the “users” section in your profile.
I’d also recommend that members also use the flag button to report any posts that they feel don’t meet our Community Guidelines. You can find the flag button by clicking on the three dots under the relevant post:
If you choose the “something else” option, a text box will pop up, and it really helps the team if you fill this out with any context e.g which guideline this breaks, and any other useful information.
I just wanted to pop back on with a quick clarification about profiles.
THS members can view anyone’s profile and reviews on the main site, but unless a member chooses to do so, there’s no link between a member’s Forum profile and their THS profile. The most common way of linking the two is by sharing a THS site link in your profile.
Sharing specific details can make it easier for other members to connect your posts to your main THS profile. We know lots of our members love to share their experiences and the locations they’ve visited, but if you prefer you can maintain some privacy by keeping posts general and avoiding anything that could identify you outside the community.

Click on your photo.
It will show your posts but there’s two down arrows down the bottom, the right one saying Dismiss. Click on the left one.
It will bring up what Jenny has displayed. Click on the symbol that looks like Settings; Jenny’s says Preferences(far right).
It will bring up the list of headings underneath. Scroll across to Users and you’ll be in business!
Hope you can follow this!
To ignore a forum user, the first step is to click on your forum icon in the upper right hand corner of the page. Then, click on the lowest icon on the right column that looks like a silhouette of a figure. Click Preferences –>Users.
Search on the user name you wish to ignore. Follow the prompts to add them. It’s somewhat amusing that you are presented with an option to ignore a user for a certain amount of time after which the ignore request will expire, thus allowing for a cooling off period rather than an eternal block for those who may be easily triggered and act impulsively.
Thank you for this, there is a certain user who seems to take pleasure in taking opposite view point to me on anything I post. I was unaware I could block him/her/them. But have now blocked them.
I’ve never used this option before, but thanks to this thread have just tried it out and found it’s effective, so calm is restored. Thanks to @Huronbase for posting!
Yep my mobile format looks different, but this worked by selecting ‘settings’ partly hidden by ‘dismiss all’ which then revealed this row of options you then scroll across to the users option
