For newbies on the forum - did you know you can block/ignore users and flag comments?

Did you know you can block and ignore certain sitters? You can flag comments and get them removed? You can create more privacy?

I have been in touch with support and got help in all these areas. I am able to ignore comments from sitters who annoy me, I can add privacy as I told them these particular sitters were looking at my profile, my reviews, and making comments. Apparently crossing the line. There are so many things you learn as you go along. I thought I would post so that others could also investigate these particular issues.

I find there is a lot of support from many people on the forum, but sometimes others just want to judge and put you down. So you can eliminate their comments from your feed. Just to let you know.

Thanks for sharing this feature with the Forum @Huronbase :slightly_smiling_face: I’ve updated your post title so if anyone searches for something similar, they’ll see your post more easily.

I also thought I’d pop on and share where you can find this feature  - just look for the “users” section in your profile.

I’d also recommend that members also use the flag button to report any posts that they feel don’t meet our Community Guidelines. You can find the flag button by clicking on the three dots under the relevant post:

You’d then click the flag icon:

Then you choose the most appropriate reason for the report:

If you choose the “something else” option, a text box will pop up, and it really helps the team if you fill this out with any context e.g which guideline this breaks, and any other useful information.

I just wanted to pop back on with a quick clarification about profiles.

THS members can view anyone’s profile and reviews on the main site, but unless a member chooses to do so, there’s no link between a member’s Forum profile and their THS profile. The most common way of linking the two is by sharing a THS site link in your profile.

Sharing specific details can make it easier for other members to connect your posts to your main THS profile. We know lots of our members love to share their experiences and the locations they’ve visited, but if you prefer you can maintain some privacy by keeping posts general and avoiding anything that could identify you outside the community.
