Happy Mother’s Day from Spain (although I’m English). It’s Spanish Father’s Day here. Have spoken to my Mum in the U.K. this morning, she’s had her card and her flowers and her hubby is cooking her breakfast. My hubby is in the U.K. now and I’m going to paint the garden wall now. Have a great day!

Until now, I never realized (or even thought) that Mother’s Day (or Father’s Day) could be on different days in different countries. I’m especially surprised how far the UK date is from the US (2nd Sunday in May). Now I know:
How big is Mother’s Day in the UK? In the US, it’s the busiest day of the year for restaurants.

Is it really? I guess that makes sense, what mom wants to cook for the family on Mother’s Day? I never knew this either…always learning something new here on the forum
