I think that stairs should either be mentioned in the posting or (better yet) pictured in the photo section. In North America there was a time when “split-level” homes were popular where you often entered on a level and then either went up or down a half-flight of steps. These designs meant that you had to negotiate some stairs in order to do almost anything as opposed to the traditional home where occupants just “went up to be”.
One thing which virtually never gets mentioned however is ceiling heights. I’m 6’4” and have run into more than my share of low beams — particularly in the UK. I would never decide on a sit or even concern myself with the ceilings or doorways in an older house, but all these things are information sitters should have.
As Holiday Inn used to say, “The best surprise is no surprise!”.
