Yes! Never pour water over a dog in the heat… instead place their paws in cool (not cold) water and let them pant. This will bring their temp down and relax them. Notice those dogs who tip their water bowl over? Typically they do this in summer in order to cool down.

Saw this on Facebook. It’s a waterbed for dogs — looks like water or some kind of gel trapped under a layer of plastic.
