Dog Walking - Protecting Pups Paws In Hot Weather!

I LOVE walking dogs…but of course we are on the lookout for other dogs, fast drivers, etc… but, now that summer is here (and right now we are in Prescott, Arizona with a heat wave) it’s good to remember about pup paw protection… If in a neighborhood I like to walk pups at sunrise if possible (and depending on the sit specifics /routine/region) so that the pavement is cooler, and usually less dog walkers out, and quieter streets. Each dog is different … and so is each place. Heat is a big deal in the hot southwest and southeast US. Would love to hear tips from other sitters and pet parents on walking … it’s always an adventure isn’t it

  6. Dog Shoes.

  9. Carry the dog! But only if the dog does not outweigh you and your back can handle it! Ha! Ha!
