Hello
I had sitters lined up but they had to cancel so I am looking again for sitters. I know that I get emails that people are saving my listing…but can’t seem to connect to this list so that I can invite people who have saved my listing to actually apply. How do I find out on the website who has saved my listing and want to invite to sit?
Thanks for any help
Welcome @lbarekman to the forum. On your Dashboard, click on the drop down section located to the right of your photo. You will see Favourites in the list which I think is where you will find those sitters who have saved your listing.
Do keep in mind sitters usually favourite/save a listing when they are unavailable for the dates listed but want to be notified when it is advertised again. Contacting sitters directly does not have a great amount of success as against re-posting your listing but it’s up to you what you want to do. You may just fluke inviting a sitter who is available! All the best.
Hey there,
I took a quick look at your listing for you. Overall, you have a positive and welcoming tone, and a good review, so that’s great! However, you have a loooot of information in your listing, which may be what is putting off applicants, as it’s quite overwhelming to read all at once. Try and reduce each section by at least half. Remember that your listing is not your welcome guide, and not the place to tell sitters where to find things in the home, how much food to give, the back story of your local area etc. Your listing should be a simple, attractive overview & advert only. Most listings have around 150 - 200 words per section. Use of simple bullet points to quickly highlight main responsibilities is ideal.
Here’s some listing guides that you can use to help reduce the info and see what sitters are looking for in a listing:
Thanks…you are right…I was treating the listing like the welcome guide. I cut lots of information to what I hope are the just the welcome pertinent facts.
I appreciate your help

Hello California!! I just want to encourage anyone who wants to explore the San Francisco and Sonoma and Napa County areas (wine region) to apply for this long sit! The weather during these dates is perfect and dry. No humidity; no bugs.
I took a look at your listing. I grew up near your home, in San Rafael. Just a few suggestions:
Clarify if you plan to allow the sitter(s) to stay overnight just before you leave. For someone coming from another country, maybe offer 2 nights before you leave.
Some of the bedroom photos could be more tidy. I would change the order so that the master bedroom is the first bedroom that a sitter will see when they view your listing.
Where do the pets sleep?
How long can the pets be left alone?
Does the dog like to ride in the car on adventures?
You might research how much it would cost a sitter to rent a car from SFO airport for the entire length of their stay, but I think you will find someone who lives within driving distance and brings their own car. Your location and length of stay are very appealing.
