Homeowners (HOs) can confirm or deny an applicant at any time. As a HO, I acknlowedge all applicants immediately, then follow up with all once I confirm one.
As a sitter also on this site, when I apply for international sits that require an airline ticket, I tell HOs in the application email that I need confirmation in advance in order to purchase a ticket at a good price. As it approaches and I haven’t heard back, I withdrawel my application and politely share why.
What works best for you be it applications for multiple sits then canceling others once one is confirmed… or holding out for your favorite? There are no timelines on the site and responses vary as much as the people who give (or don’t give) them.
