I don’t think this helps in any way: it doesn’t help the sitters and it doesn’t make it any clearer for the hosts if they can’t go to the host’s page and check if that was a no review given or received or just no review received.
I don’t want hosts knowing I wasn’t reviewed in some random sit somewhere unless they can read my review of that particular sit, then they would understand.
It’s definitely clearer for hosts considering that currently missing reviews of sitters are c entirely invisible to hosts. To your point, it could be clearer still but maybe that’s because we haven’t seen it implemented in the real world.
You’re right. There’s some “hint” owners would be given which they aren’t given now. What I mean is that the lack of reviews can be due to multiple reasons, we can only speculate and make a decision based on that speculation. Still, as a sitter, I use that little hint to dig further and see if there’s some useful information.
I have always supported equal treatment for HOs and sitters wherever that is possible and it’s really unfair and unreasonable not to give HOs access to the same information sitters get. Some people may consider that getting an automatic message saying “the sitter completed a sit In Brighton” is a step, even if small. I personally would rather not take that step as it doesn’t take me anywhere, it might even add unnecessary suspicion. If HOs only know the location where this sit took place and nothing else, they won’t be able to know what the listing demanded, if there’s a pattern of that particular host not writing reviews or being overly demanding, etc.
I am just missing a review, the sitter before myself didn’t get a review either, the host was hoping nobody would review the other but, in both cases, the reviews we left are cristal clear. I have no problem at all with HOs knowing that I was not reviewed but I would like them to get the picture; reading my review would help decide if the issues I referred to as not being a good match for me are something I might find in their sit and avoid offering me the sit or at least address the issue directly in a conversation. Yes, I suppose you could ask someone “what happened in n Brighton?”
THS seems to think “what happens in Brighton stays in Brighton” but only for sitters.
