London meet-up Sunday 5 October

Is anyone interested? All welcome, guests and hosts, hobby-sitters and digital nomads alike. We had a good meet-up at a pub in SW London in the spring, but that was half a year ago, and not central. So I propose St Pancras Station (absolutely Zone 1), 2pm, at Carluccio’s, the Italian chain, on the upper ground floor. You can check out the menu online; they are OK with people just having a drink, or ordering a full meal, or anything in between. Meet to swap tips, or tell tall (travellers’) tales. I’ll be there for the first hour at least – stay as long as you like.

What a great idea and a perfect location. Sadly I’m on a sit so can’t make it. Hope you arrange another meet up soon. x

Yes! We would love to join!

I’ve just joined the forum and not yet used the app, I would love to join and hear your experiences with it, would that be ok?

Excellent! I look forward to seeing you there. Would you like to say a little about your THS experiences so far?

Absolutely! You are most welcome.

Great idea! Count me in

Sure, we are currently on our 41st sit. Loved them all! We sold almost everything in June 2023 to pet and house sit around the world. We mostly use THS, although we have been getting some paid sits too, so that’s been nice.

Wow, you will certainly have tales to tell!

Looking forward to meeting you. Do you want to say something about your THS experience so far?

Hi everyone

Great idea RobertaLondon, unfortunately I will be arriving from Oz the following week, so can’t make it.

You can be with us in spirit, if you wish. As per another thread: what spirit does your spirit drink, or would you prefer wine or beer instead? :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

One more week to go. I’m looking forward to meeting you all.

I will be in London to meet a friend on Sunday. So, if the time we decide upon permits me to drop by St Pancras, I will likely come for a drink. I’ll be the woman with the teddy bear, so call me over if you see me!

Debra (and Bearsac).

You have reminded me to create some sort of a representation of the THS logo, to make it easier to find each other. It would be grand to see you there.

It’s tomorrow! Sunday 2pm. I’ve just drawn the THS logo on a piece of paper – ultimate low tech. I’ll put that on a table and hope that you manage to find me. Carluccio’s has the booking under my name, Roberta, and they usually seat us “outside”, i.e. just next to the huge statue welcoming the world to London, or at any rate the Eurostar to St Pancras.

Rodney and I are looking forward to meeting everyone! Thanks for arranging this Roberta.

Would have loved to. Sadly just seen this and out with family in Kent. Another time though. Have fun all.

That was fun! Thank you to Raymond and Glenyce and Debra and Bearsac for making it. Luciana and Myrcar, you missed a treat. BTW the off-menu drink at Carluccio’s is called bicerin: a tray with a shot of espresso, a little jug of double cream, and another of the thickest hot chocolate, for you to mix freely. Enjoy! Shall we do it again?

It was amazing! Thanks for bringing us together Roberta!!
Bicerin sounds like we definitely need to do it again! :face_savoring_food:
