Our current sit, just south of Sydney has lots of wild parrots & cockatoos that come up close to say hello!

@Colin that’s fantastic to see them come so close. The many parakeets we saw flying around in London this morning weren’t quite so obliging!

I find this rather sad, while we as humans find it quirky that a bird might be able to identify a friend this is so unnatural to parrots/cockatoos in general. They’re social birds with large expansive families in huge territory areas when in nature. They’ve been reduced to lonely flightless captives.
