I am tired and undercaffeinated, but what is the grammar issue here? Do you mean it should read ‘it was I’? I would suggest that ‘it was me’ is entirely common and acceptable usage these days.
Or perhaps something else is amiss?
@Rhe I was wondering the same thing…
Yes well spotted. Yes it’s common usage but not something I like to see.
I am a grammar freak too, but I find this totally acceptable, and I WOULD WEAR THIS, Where can I buy it?
Could always go to a t shirt shop and get one printed I suppose.
I’m an English teacher (not retired), and would posit that ‘it was I’ sounds archaic and odd!
