What are those Maoris doing in Australia @Amparo??

I thought that too @temba but then just assumed @Amparo loved the pic!:sweat_smile:

Well @temba
I invited them :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The Blue Mountains @Amparo how wonderful. The scenery is breathtaking. Unfortunately I live 1000km north or I’d come and meet up. Make sure you do the gondola ride across the canyon and the world’s steepest train ride to the valley floor and some guided walks through the amazing Jenolan Caves and a high tea at the famous Hydro Majestic Hotel and and and… It’s a beautiful part of Australia with so much to do and very historic. We were there last year to check out my father’s birth place at Blackheath. Enjoy! Here are a couple of photos to wet your appetite!

Spectacular! Thank you so very kindly.
This is a very long anticipated trip, my third attempt to visit and my second attempt to do this sit.
First planned trip I cancelled due to unexpected work, the nerve of those people!
Second was for this sit when the borders closed just weeks before my arrival.
My hosts invited me back and have scheduled 6 days to take me on local adventures.
So sorry to be missing you.

@Amparo I’m sure then your hosts will take you to the places I mentioned as these are the big touristy things. When you see the scenery you will understand the troubles our early explorers had crossing The Great Dividing Range from Sydney to discover the wide open fertile agricultural plains on the western side. If you make it north near Brisbane we will have to catch up!

That’s great @Amparo, too bad I’ll be the other side of Aus when you’re there (although expect I’ll enjoy myself!). I love the Blue Mountains :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Hi @Crookie I have learnt something new today as I didn’t realise that’s the worlds steepest inclined railway… incredible! :steam_locomotive:

Stunning photos too btw! :slightly_smiling_face:

With Australia in mind I saw this on the news today, it’s certainly one very lucky dog and his owner.

An Australian sailor and his dog have been rescued off the coast of Mexico after surviving on nothing but rainwater and raw fish for two months while lost at sea.

The 51-year-old and his dog Bella survived under a small canopy on board the battered vessel for weeks before they were spotted on Thursday by a helicopter that was on the lookout for tuna for a fishing vessel.

@Samox24 I’ve been on that train 3 times in my life, as a child, then with my child and then last year in a group tour off the Indian Pacific train journey. It gets scarier each time! Everything is ok & then…you drop over the edge…hoping & praying the cable on the back end doesn’t snap!

This is more our Aboriginal first nation people, not that you will see any like this unless at a show. If you get an opportunity, don’t miss Sydney Harbour and a visit to Taronga Park Zoo. It is a zoo like nothing you will ever see anywhere in the world and the view of Sydney and the harbour is mind-blowing. Day trip on the train from Blue Mountains.

We are all so looking forward to this, hosts and me. We have been in contact over the years and though we’ve never met, actually haven’t even seen a pic of them, we seem to be a very good match.
The home is a two story large one bedroom log home with a beautiful terrace for lounging with the 3 cats. They are going on a pilgrimage, the full Camino in Spain and I am thrilled to do this for them.
Win win for everyone.
