In March 2025, a couple of days after the sit ended, I wrote a review for the sitter. It still hasn’t shown up on my page or the sitters’ page.
How do I get this posted?

Support did get back to me and asked me to look at Past Sits. The sit was not even listed!
So then I went to my past emails with her and it said that the sit had been deleted.
Who deleted it and why? It must have been after I wrote the review because it wasn’t deleted before that.

How very odd. Only hosts and THS can cancel, or maybe some error?

I think that if the host has left THS ( membership expired or another reason ) and also requested that their profile was removed - all replayed data including reviews of their sit would not appear anymore .

Support now says that the sit was deleted because it didn’t happen. Duh. That’s why I wrote the review.
She totally flaked on me and I believe that future prospects should know that she is unreliable. 5 days before the sit she says she’s ‘too busy’ and deactivated her account. I have a lot going on 5 days before a trip and one of them is not having to start all over searching for a new sitter.
She has since reactivated her account and I imagine that she didn’t like the bad review I left.

Ah that explains it - you can’t leave a review for a sit that didn’t happen …

This is where the review system is wriong. You should be able to leave a review on an agreed sit, if the sitter simply does not show up or cancels for no reason, just prior to the sit starting. Saying too busy should not be a valid excuse to cancel, a mere five days prior to a sit starting. Maybe a separate review heading for sitters who cancel, so it is noted. Whereby a sitter can have reviews but amongst those reviews there can be notifications ‘This sit cancelled by sitter’. If noterd thas several sits had been cancelled by a particular sitter, it would make other owners wary.
