I am a sitter seeking advice and possible escalation assistance regarding a completed Nashville sit from April 2026 that disappeared from my TrustedHousesitters history along with the associated reviews.
The sit absolutely took place. Both the homeowner and I completed reviews within the required timeframe, and the reviews were previously visible on the platform. I provided support with screenshots showing:
the sit confirmation,
the previously visible review,
and related correspondence.
Support has since informed me that the sit “was deleted” and later stated that the sit “was never confirmed,” despite the documentation provided.
The homeowner independently confirmed to me that:
her review also disappeared,
TrustedHousesitters told her there was a backend malfunction,
and that the dates associated with the sit were deleted.
At this point, I am not attempting to leave a new review outside the review window. I am requesting investigation into the disappearance of an already existing completed review and restoration of the historical sit record if possible.
I would appreciate review from a Community Manager or someone with backend access who may be able to investigate the original sit and review association more thoroughly.

Update: The issue has now been resolved and both the homeowner’s review and my review have been restored.
For anyone following along, both reviews were completed within the required review window and were previously visible on our profiles before later disappearing.
During my conversations with support, I was given several explanations, including that the sit had been deleted, was never confirmed, and that there was no trace of a review being left. The homeowner was separately told that the dates associated with the sit had been deleted due to a backend malfunction.
After posting here on the forum and providing documentation, including screenshots and confirmation from the homeowner, the issue was escalated and both reviews have now been restored. So nothing happened till I posted here.

Unfortunately, it happens too often that things are only solved after they are posted here. It’s also reported often enough that support staff give contradictory information to different people or at different times.
