If you happen to be in Salem, Massachusetts then the Salem Witch Museum is worth visiting. It is about the Witch Trials of 1692 and the museum is based on the actual documents of the trials.
A photo I took on our visit there.

Oh, I love museums!
Santiago, Chile has quite a few museums to explore! One of my top favorite is The Museum of Memory and Human Rights.(Check out this article for other museum) https://gowithguide.com/blog/tourism-in-santiago-statistics-2023 It’s a truly remarkable place. I had the chance to visit it during my travels, and I must say, it left a lasting impression on me. The museum tells the story of the human rights abuses that took place during the dictatorship in Chile with such depth and sensitivity. The exhibits, photographs, and personal accounts really brought the history to life. It’s a must-visit for anyone interested in understanding the country’s past and paying tribute to those who suffered.
We discovered the German Christmas Museum in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. A permanent exhibition of both unusual and rare Christmas decorations from the 19th and early 20th centuries, as well as " all-time favorites" on the Christmas tree as well as exciting and interesting facts about Christmas.
We just visited The Spielzeug Welten Museum in Basel, Switzerland (Toy Worlds Museum Basel), this morning which houses the world’s biggest collection of old teddy bears, merry-go-rounds, historic dolls and more.
@PVGemini I was just at the Chihuly in October - so beautiful!
I would love this!
Hi @Smiley it’s set over 4 floors and we thoroughly enjoyed it! ![]()

Putting Basle on my list! ![]()
Another discovery whilst on the road. The HR Giger Museum in Gruyère.
Surreal paintings & sculptures by the artist known for the “Alien” movies, set in a medieval castle.
Since you are in Switzerland, Chaplin’s World, the Charlie Chaplin Museum in Corsier-sur-Vevey, is exceptional. So well designed and engaging, completely unexpected and wonderful. History does repeat itself. A short and easy bus ride up from Vevey.
Thank you @anon10466095 for the recommendation, we will be sure to visit ![]()

I visited the Natural History Museum earlier in the week, I haven’t been for a while but it’s still one of my favourite museums. It’s definitely worth a visit for anyone who happens to be in London. ![]()

The Natural History Museum is located at Cromwell Road, London SW7 5BD.
The absolute best museum I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to very many…. is the very strange/exhilarating/mind blowing/inspiring/scarey…. MONA near Hobart Tasmania…. the website doesn’t do it justice as the majority of it is in underground tunnels and giant cavernous halls and the owner continues to dig and expand the labyrinth.
Have dinner in the very odd restaurant overlooking the lake with surreal art experiences as courses between eating courses. I’ve been x3 and hope to go back again. Definitely arrive across the lake as that’s an incredible experience as well.
Churchill War Rooms, I thought this would be a 2 minute wizz round, bit interesting but not expecting too much and we spent a good few hours there and could have taken longer if we didn’t need to get to a show.
Also spent a fascinating few hours in another museum that I thought would take 5 minutes! Very dark but so informative on what the people of Hungary endured through two awful dictatorships.
I’m a Churchill Fellow and have a lifetime entrance card to the Museum- it’s fabulous although one exhibit got broken and hasn’t been replaced which I’m sad about. It was a huge map with lighted routes showing all the flights/journeys Churchill made to try and get support.
