Not a museum but if in London, consider a visit to The Kennel Club Art Gallery and Library with it’s collections of art, dog literature etc. Located in Mayfair, it makes for a great outing. We recently took one of our lovely THS dogs there. He was even able to have his photo taken with The Crufts “Best in Show” trophy- made for lovely pupdates for the HO too. The dog library is the biggest in Europe. It’s free and dog friendly of course. It’s by appointment only so do call them in advance. They also do breed specific tours for 10+ people including lunch for a fee. Highly recommend!
Ooh been there and yes. Love everything about the body, physical, mental and supramental.
It’s always been my main focus of study to this day.
Oscar Niemeyer in Curitiba, Brazil….possibly one of my favourite cities but this museum I stayed in all day and still didn’t see everything. Amazing!
The Museum of Anthropology at UBC in Vancouver, Canada is lovely and very interesting!
A museum I often recommend is The Hallwyl museum in Stockholm, Sweden
The Hallwyl Museum was originally built as a private residence in 1893-1898 for Wilhelmina and Walther von Hallwyl. In 1920 the house with all its contents was donated to the nation, and the museum opened in 1938. The museum project was part of an international trend, and Wilhelmina counts as one the great collectors of her time. We were told that she had planned everything herself - so that when she died everything was catalogued and she had glass doors made to put on the cupboards. You really feel they are just out for a minute. Do take the guided tour.
In Copenhagen you will find something similar, an apartment now belonging to the National museum, I think:
Haven’t visited that yet.
I love quirky museums, and liked the Sewer museum in Paris
And the learning centre of the Federal Reserve Bank in New York

Admission for the latter was very restricted so it is necessary to be ready when tickets for time you want is released. The bonus is that you get to go with the underground elevator and see the gold vault if you’re lucky.
I took these photos at The Palace Museum (Forbidden City) in Beijing, China, during a day tour. I really had fun, and I’m planning to go back.
As an admirer of Van Gogh’s work, I thoroughly enjoyed my recent visit to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
Here are a few of my favourite pieces.
If you happen to be in Oxford, England then you might want to visit the History of Science Museum which is open Tuesday to Sunday 12-5pm. It’s the world’s oldest surviving purpose-built museum building which houses an unrivaled collection of early scientific instruments and is also home to a blackboard used by Albert Einstein during a lecture in Oxford in 1931.
Isn’t it just amazing!!
Thanks @Sam_F for the heads up on this museum in Oxford. I might be there in mid November
Hi @Crookie
Also, you might be interested to visit Blackwell’s bookshop which is opposite the museum. We have always been amazed when we have been in there, particularly on our last visit when we discovered The Norrington Room as shown in my photo below. Be sure not to miss it!
Trading since 1879, Blackwell’s of Oxford is the largest academic and specialist bookseller in the UK, and one of the most famous booksellers in the world.
Hi @Sam_F when I looked this up on Google maps there are 2 stores in Oxford with similar photos to yours. Are you able to give me the address please where you took this photo?
