Anyone else have this one? I get a notification one of my favourite sits have just listed. I click the link and sometimes it just takes me to the general sit page. Through the app on my android phone. If the link doesn’t take me directly to the listing then I have to search and by that time it could be gone. I’ve had two notifications in the last ten minutes, one worked as it should, the other did not ![]()
Sorry to hear about this @Cathie - I have raised a bug report with the team to see what’s going on here.
It’d be good to hear if anyone else is experiencing similar.
Jenny
I think this happens when the sit has been filled already and they are no longer in need of a sitter.
Or they’ve taken the listing down bc they’re no longer traveling (or taken down for some other reason like their listing has broken the THS rules, been reported and taken down) or the sit has been already filled.
Yes, it happens that fast because OFTEN by the time you or I get a notification for a listing it’s been up for several hours, had 5 applicants within minutes, and a sitter has been selected all before you could even check out the listing. It has happened to me many times. I have become a sleuth in going to find that listing and do find it but with a “no sitter needed” note.
Sometimes it’s possible that they post it and a past sitter applies so they book them immediately. So the “reviewing applications” doesn’t show bc they’ve selected their sitter.
It has happened to me more than once and the sit is still available. I just have to search for it and 9/10 it’s still listed. Maybe does happen though but if it’s favourited, it will still show up as reviewing.
Yes, most of the time. Very frustrating
It is annoying, but what I have discovered is, close the app before clicking on the notice. Say, I have two notifications, the first one goes right to the listing. If I click the next one while still open, it goes to the general search. If I close app in between, it goes to the listing. Another glitch in the system, but it is a workaround for now.
@WaterJill yes, I have noticed that too.![]()
