The Lyrids are best viewed in the Northern Hemisphere during the dark hours (after moonset and before dawn).
When walkies aren’t quite enough. Would you use a treadmill with a dog? Maybe for a mud free home? Perhaps the dog’s energy could generate electricity in the home?

Hello all, just signed up and look forward to caring after pets and their homes. I love to travel and I love animals, sounds like a win win. I just returned from Paris and did endure in many croissants.

glad to have you here! Where did you get your best croissant from? Did you do much sightseeing?
I am on my 35 animal sit in a small village where I have sat in 3 different houses.
I was out collecting eggs from the hens at same time when I knew the fish van was due, a highlight of my trips here.
I took the 2 Spaniel dogs with me and had already left gate open so van driver could get in. I saw the van reversing in, doors open, so used whistle to call the 2 dogs back to me.(for safety) But…no sign of them. Oh well, they are well trained, they won’t be far away.
I stepped into van purse in hand ready to purchase my Prawns.
Fishman was stood behind counter but he wasn’t alone! There they both were, the 2 dogs at his feet. The guy was giving them treats
.
I am guessing this is a regular occurrence. I will know for next Wednesday!!

Would love to have a fish van come down our street in the US. I remember the ice cream truck when I was a kid but that’s it.
Im interviewing a potential sitter in about an hour on videochat.
He speaks Portuguese. I speak English. There is a translator app in my iphone for voice. Supposedly!! I wonder if anyone has used this and could give me advice!
Videochat in one hour… so I’ll be playing with the translator until then. All help welcome!! I am not particularly tech saavy nor tech stupid either.

The potential petsitter didnt call as scheduled. No clue why. So I didn’t get the chance to use the voice translator app. I plan to practice using it anyway for travel at a later time. I hope the TH sitter gets back in touch! ??? Not unusual I have found, for a sitter applicant to express interest, then disappear or decline on second thought. Maybe half the applicants that offer, then disappear. 
I try not to accept an offer too quickly, knowing this. I give the applicant awhile to commit. Your thoughts?
If the sitter did not call you at the agreed time, why in the world would you consider this person to sit for you. Obviously irresponsible and it can end up being this way on the sit.
He replied today. Apologized for missing the suggested time to videochat . (He asked me to pick a time. I did. He did not confirm. I believe he did not look back into the messages.)
So I suggested he choose a good time. I will give him a chance.
