A bit surprised by the exotic tenant that’s moved in for Christmas!
I wouldn’t leave dogs near chocolates or offer it to them.
Horrifyingly to me, a pair of previous hosts said their young dog ate an entire box of chocolates without ill effects, though their vet told them to keep an eye out for after effects.

It would have been funnier if he was reading the newspaper he was going on. Back in The 50’s, those that had dogs live in apartments with them taught them how to go on day old newspapers placed in the corner.
When my dogs would constantly stop and sniff and sniff and sniff and sniff some more… I would say, “ wow that must be some very interesting pee-mail you’re reading” 
I’m Shopping for food supplies here in Woodstock, near Oxford, UK. What I love is how friendly it is to animals. Dogs lying patiently outside the Post Office - lots of doggie cards for sale on the other side) Then I’m greeted by a Mallard ! But tourists feeding the ducks has caused a problem here! The ducks are very Food driven, like me!

Have you visited or are you planning on visiting Blenheim Palace whilst you’re there?
I did last year and so loved it. The dog is on heat otherwise I would have taken her there often over my twelve day sit. But there are enormous, empty fields here so I can give her plenty of safe exercise. Her recall is brilliant!
Thanks Sam it is definitely a must see whilst so close to it! I can visit once back in my own home in Cheltenham. I think buses go from Oxford to it. It’s a two mile walk from this village but regular buses from The Duke of Marlborough pub to Woodstock.
Yes the buses run from Oxford to Woodstock and then it’s just a short walk from there.
