If you are unwilling to pay for utilities, hire and pay for a sitter. I have been running across cheap HO’s. Many are simply rude.
Perhaps a way to handle this issue is to reply that payment for utilities is fine. Oh, by the way, I expect the $100 transportation costs to be paid by the host.
