Complaint about THPetParent of my last house sitting experience:
I have tried to manage this dispute between ourselves by asking THPet Parent, to “move on, let’s let bigons be bigons.”
She then started slandering me.

I requested that any review of hers about me be kept from the TH site. I will not review her.
I am a 5-Star THSitter and I do not want my excellent reviews tarnished by one very mean, angry person who went way beyond the boundaries of attacking me. I provided a 5-Star sit, her home/property in better condition than when she left. I left a Welcome Back balloon, flowers & a bowl of grapes for their return. Their 2 dogs were soooooooooooooooooo happy to be around me. I even took extra care of one because her eyes would cake up with gook.
I really do not want this THPet Parent to soil my 5-Star reviews because she is a mean, nasty & falsely accusatory person.

It sounds awful and I’m really sorry that you’re going through this. But I really believe that you should do what is in your power to protect yourself from this owner and to prevent them from hurting others. That includes raising a member dispute and writing a review. You can’t be sure of the result of this dispute but you can for sure warn others by clearly writing in your review that you are being abused.

These posts really need both sides of the story before we comment.
Going by the information you have given, your best course of action will be to leave a fair , factual review . Allow them to leave theirs, then respond to it accordingly if you feel the need.
If the review they give you is polar opposite to all your other reviews, future home hosts will not give it as much credibility than they would if you had a run of similar reviews.
Often reviews say much more about the person who is giving it, than the person who is receiving it.
Please do write a review. Your experience sounds awful and others need to know this is a sit they might wish to avoid. And for you its an opportunity to express yourself and not let this PP get away with such behaviour. If you don’t leave a review no one will be any the wiser and the PP will receive no backlash or punishment at all!
In your shoes I would write a factual review about your experience & drop a few stars overall and each category. I would also raise a Member Dispute with THS to complain about the verbal and emotional abuse. This kind of behaviour must not be condoned.
THS will not prevent the host from writing a review. If the previous sitter had had your same experience, wouldn’t you have appreciated reading about it? Please write an honest review about your experience. What is a possibility is that the host will write a review about you and your chance to review will be gone. Then the next sitter might face the same issue as you. Please don’t do that to your fellow sitters.
I agree. Clearly the pet owner is unhappy about something and it would be interesting to know what? We do not know their side of the story. There has to be a reason that they are not happy?
