I’m new to TH. I have three years of experience as a pet-housesitter and good reviews from owners. How can I mention them if they’re from another pet-housesitting website? How can the reviews be reflected in my TH profile?

You can write in your listing either quotes or mention you’d be happy to send them. As you can link to your LinkedIn- profile, you can put it there, you can also screenshot reviews and add them as a photo. Just suggestions.
Be aware, though, that your listing is available «to all» and not only paying members of THS. Personally, I offer a link to my LinkedIn only when I apply for a sit, and I choose not to have more personal data online «for all» than I have to. That is a choice you can make, but useful to know.

When we first joined we had no pet sitting experience but we had a lot of great reviews on airbnb. So we chose a variety of those reviews from different countries and cut and pasted them into our profile. This plus a couple of great character references from friends helped us Land our first sit. These days you can just add a link to your airbnb or Linkd in profiles (if you wish) In your case you could use some of your previous pet sitting reviews in the same way we used our airbnb reviews. You could also ask some of your favourite hosts from other sits if they are willing to be contacted to vouch for you.

Hi @TeresaBonn you cannot upload your other reviews to the review section. That’s not how it works. The only reviews in that section are those you receive after a confirmed THS sit. These are the most important reviews for legitimacy.
If you mean reviews you received from another site (like my airbnb reviews) you just need to select a few good ones to “copy and paste” into the BODY of your profile. I have mine at the end of the ‘Our Experience’ section, right below what I’ve written about us.
References are what you can ask your friends and family to write for you. There is a link to send them an email to request a reference. A combo of References and outside reviews can really help you get started! Once you’ve got some real THS reviews you’ll be up and running!
Btw some people suggest making screenshots of past reviews to add to your photo section but I would NOT suggest that. Sitters can only upload about 13 pictures so I’d focus them on pictures of you with animals. That’s what hosts want to see. The written part of the profile does not have a character limit as far, as I’m aware, so you have more space there.

In your past petsitting experience, if there are any pet owners who may be willing to write a Reference for you, then send them a link within the THS system.
The Reference “letter” does not need to be long. It can be just a few sentences about their experience with you as a petsitter.
Look at some other sitter profiles and the References to see what I mean.

We second this. We had our other home owners from other sites write references for us. Just send them a link and they will hopefully do that for you. Best of luck!
