Love the Riverwalk and the San Antonio area. You’ll be close to the Texas Barbecue Trail, sprawled across a bunch of small towns. They’re generations-old businesses run by families with German roots, who started off as cattle ranchers. I’m a barbecue fiend and love visiting.
If anyone ends up needing a hotel on the Riverwalk, I recommend the charming Hotel Contessa.
