I have had so many wonderful sits with THS. My most recent was with the sweetest little dog in asheville north carolina. It was in a beautiful home and the HO is such a unique person … and probably a friend for life now. Every sit is unique and different. I really love that it gives me an opportunity to bond with various pets, especially since I lost my sweet girl two years ago. Many of my friends don’t understand my passion for pets and travel … so I appreciate this forum where like minded people discuss these adventures. Thank you THS for this great opportunity.

When we used THS as HOs we met a wonderful European couple and their son. They had been traveling the world for a few years, doing house sits on the way. (They came to us in an emergency when a couple we had sitting for us decided to ditch us and leave us high and dry one week into a 3 month sit.) We only met them on a video call but they were absolutely wonderful. Not only was our ornery cat, who hates everyone except us, totally charmed, they were equally taken with her. We contacted them to ask if they’d come the next year and they leapt at the opportunity, saying they had missed Lolita (our cat). Additionally they took immaculate care of our home, were trustworthy with the money we left for bills and repairs as needed, and sent us frequent photos. We count them as friends. Now that we have returned to live in our home country we are house sitting and experiencing the other side of the equation.

Spending 6-8 weeks a year near my geographically-distant adult son to visit with him. Previously it was a couple of short visits a year - we have a great relationship but there’s a couple of reasons it’s not practical to stay with him more than a couple of nights. It means the world to me.

Love the idea of reviewing your friends 
I am envious! Sounds great and I love figs. I grew up in Israel where we had our own fig trees, and now I live on the East Coast of the US and I can’t get any decent figs!!!
