Should Home Owners Declare They Have Cell Phone Towers Next To Their Home For Health Reasons

@RedLassie We write it how we say it (as do people in other countries). We say May 7, 2026 and write is 5/7/26. People in other places might say the 7th of May and write it 7/5/26.

day /month/ year is logical, chronological

month/ day /year is not. it’s just bizarre

It’s very confusing for me since I travel so much. I have to think about what country I’m in before I write a date. I typically just write out the month now so it’s clear.

Only in the US, I think. Everywhere else it’s just 14/03!

Most people don’t even know what a cell phone tower is. I was lied to last year overseas and that greatly impacted me. The people here said no, so they don’t even realise there is one 70 metres from their house.

I always do this in Australia, however, it is nearly impossible to find websites where to look up towers. I have been attempting to find one here in New Zealand for the past 2 1/2 months. I know there is one as used it before. It may have been taken down.

When I was overseas last year in Central America, it was the same situation. I was NOT able to find any websites to locate towers. Hence I asked in the interview, but the person lied to me and I have the video footage of it. THS allowed me to cancel the sit (which was actually at the owners request!!) for health reasons, due to be told false information. She forgot she told me there were no cell phones towers there!

Sure. Do you know how to look up cell phone towers in New Zealand, as I have not been unable to locate a website to do so. I will be asking the people at the next sits here that question.

You know, I don’t as I my reply did say US. But, there is always the Internet to look that up yourself :person_shrugging:

Um, most people know what they are. Most are not allergic to it, but that doesn’t make them ignorant either.

Cellmapper.net covers NewZealand

That doesn’t seem complicated to find, but some people complain first. Sheesh.

Unfortunately I already used that. It does not show you were towers are located, and you have to go to each network independently, and only shows coverage so pretty useless.

I had once use a better one but after Firefox took of all my bookmarks, as I didn’t know I had to be logged in, I lost all that I had saved so can no longer find it.

50% were sensitive to wireless radiation, cell phones and cell phones towers by early 2000’s. More now! I worked in the radiation protection industry for 10 years and learnt extensively how dangerous they are to all living beings, and know the severe repercussions of them.

Here are the facts and why you do not wish to be near them. This is written by a University Professor who taught me Anatomy and Physiology (I used to work for his boss when I was studying), and a well know Building Biologist in Australia Frontiers | Does radiofrequency radiation impact sleep? A double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled, crossover pilot study

Actually I didn’t ask for this information (nor do I care to follow the link) but since you seem to have an agenda feel free to share it, but no need to reply to my post to do so, or actually for any other reason. Good luck with your research.

IMHO, there are two different topics on this thread, perhaps 3:

  • 1- The heading question.
My answer is “no”. You seem really concerned and are having trouble finding where they are but still you expect HOs to inform everyone about them. I think you’re assuming that they would know if there’s one nearby but many people don’t know that. I don’t. I have no idea what they look like and I would have to do the same search that you are, unsuccessful, doing.

  • 2- The harm cell phone towers do to people.
I am a bit confused here. I admit I don’t have any information on this matter but you seem to be arguing two different points: you say you are allergic but you also say that the dogs are affected and more than half of the population. I would have to revise my concept of allergies. No irony intended, just admitting my ignorance.

  • 3- You say some people lied to you.
I got lost when you explained how you had recorded someone lying and how you knew they were lying so I can’t know if they were actually lying or they just didn’t know exactly what you were asking about. I hate lies, I make such efforts in trying to be clear and precise that most people get bored.
Given that this is a very important issue for you, perhaps you could consider asking a preliminary question, something like “are you aware where cell phone towers are located?” You could then draw your own conclusions about the reliability of the information you could get from them regarding this matter.

Take care and enjoy your sits.

No Homeowners should not have to declare this. It falls on you to ask the HO and do your best to figure it out without burdening the homeowner beyond their willingness to help. If I was asked this question, say on a videochat and we seem to be a good match, I might offer to go outside and show you what I can see from my house. That would be my level of helping you answer the question. Maybe others would help more or less. If i was asked this question in an application message I would simply decline. You have a balancing act to figure out to know when and how to gather the info you need for a sit that fits with you.

Goodness… I guess sitters should add that to the growing list of Q’s they have to ask in a zoom. Oy!

Or maybe not. If you asked me this in a video chat I would do as MTBer said - maybe show you outside and only if everything else were solid. Otherwise honestly I would say thanks for applying but goodbye.

Bring up what’s important to you, of course, but if it sounds a little extreme than you run the risk of HO just not wanting to deal with you.

I would rather they decline me than sitting here being microwaved 24/7. If that lack compassion and empathy for others, then I prefer not to be there looking after their homes, gardens and pets. I do an outstanding job and I am highly sought after. I turned down far better sits for longer periods of time to do this one. Wish I wasn’t so honoring when I commit!

Interesting thoughts @karenfay
