The only way to ensure that the pet sitter does precisely what you want, is to be the pet sitter yourself, i.e. stay with the pet and not travel.

I’m pretty sure the barrage of negativity and some less than respectful responses have driven this unwelcomed HO away. Would you feel comfortable engaging any further if you were them given how they’ve been “spoken” to?

The OP was a new member of the community looking for support and advice, as per my previous post here, it’s completely fine to disagree with the OP and ask further questions, but it must be kept within the posting terms and community guidelines including being respectful and kind.
Not everyone is very active on the forum and might not reply regularly but that is completely fine and people are welcome to engage with the forum as much or as little as they like, even when they post, the value is not just to the OP but also to anyone reading and learning from the question and replies.
This post has now run its course so will be closing it to any further comments, should the OP wish to share any more information we can look at reopening it to continue the discussion but keep it inside of our guidelines that all members agree to when using the forum.
