Those do look nice and the marketing is great. We do have something like that here in the US which I have purchased…and on some sits, I have seen the same things.
But if you really want to see how they work…do what I did. Buy a pack, bury some poop in bag in your yard and leave it there for a year. The next year, dig them up. If they have a money back guarantee, keep your receipt so you can get your money back when it doesn’t degrade.

You know what (typed in my best Northern England accent) Im going to do that. I’ll pop the full poo bag in the garden down near the veg patch with a stake naming it

A friend of mine felt a bit self conscious whilst carrying a full poo bag so he put it in his jacket pocket. When he got home, he hung up his jacket in the porch, totally forgetting about the poo bag, for 3 days!

Why did you bury poop in your back yard? Did the instructions say that the poop bags would decompose within a certain time frame?
If biodegradable items get buried without exposure to bacteria, light, heat, oxygen, and moisture, they may not be able to decompose at all.
They are advertised as, “Here this year, gone the next!” They weren’t so…
I didn’t turn into Bill Nye…just a simple real world reasonable thing. Certainly leaving them within my eyesight isn’t something I wanted to look at!
That image you’ve conjured up is magic @Twitcher love it! We have one sit where the poo bags are scented and there are always tonnes of them, never thought I’d say it but a pleasure to use those poo bags #designerpoobags

Have you noticed how some folk prefer to adorn trees with full poo bags? I don’t get that at all and not sure if it’s specific to the UK. If you have gone to the trouble to pick it up why wouldn’t you dispose of it responsibly? 
No idea! Haven’t seen it much outside the UK but yes, crazy behaviour.
Around where I live that happens, but also leaving very full bags to accumulate by street signs 
I had a pre visit for a sit I will do for a week. It’s up in an isolated mountain area. The owner had two dogs. When we went on a walk the dogs pooped and the owner picked it up in a bag so it was no longer on the mountain path. He then flung the poo into a thorny bush area that no one would be walking around. The empty poo bag he then placed under a stone to use again in the next outing in that area.
I thought this was genius. Re- use the bag, fling the poo so it biodegrades out of harm ‘s or inconvenience’s way.
If you are out with a dog and without a bag, you could use this again and again.

Save the bag but dispose of the poo intelligently. Nailed it. Environmentally friendly, neighbourly too. Think outside the box/bin.
@Highfive ah, but what happens when the dog poos nowhere near the stone that you stashed the bag under? Or if you can’t remember if it was down this path or that path that you stashed it? I suppose you’d always carry a couple of spares and then you could have a selection of bags stashed randomly on your different walks!
The dogs went very soon once the walk started and it was a regular, short walk that was circular so one that was done a lot.
Where I am now it’s a posh “estate” of exclusive individual houses nestled uP the “hillside”of an impressive mountain Montgó. There are no bins at all. Just roads and pavements with patches of woods which haven’t been built on yet. Lots of signs discouraging dogs to poop anywhere near people’s properties, which I totally appreciate however poops are left around or in bags that are also discarded. It’s very steep here so most people are in a car or bicycle or if a dog owner, on foot with the dog. The Spanish mainly keep large dogs to guard their properties and don’t see the need to exercise them. I have never met a Spaniard here whilst walking twice a day for a month now.
Now there are bins in recognized enclosed bin areas accessed with a key and one can also check the mail box which is kept there..These are down on the main road into town. Not walkable, especially with all the requisite bins’ materials.
I don’t see people carrying poop bags empty or full. The owners here do and bring it home to a bin in the garage. They have five bins in all - they take them all to the enclosed bin area as they travel there by car.
Bin collection is easier, cheaper if centralized, I know but .. there’s a lot of poo that doesn’t land in that sophisticated system. The present state of things is very poor. Children don’t play in the streets here. Everyone has high railings and electric gates. Most drive over or past the problem. Ejecting the poo into bushes or nearby wooded areas makes a lot of sense. Dispose quickly and effectively without dirt building up on roadsides and pavements.
