Those do look nice and the marketing is great. We do have something like that here in the US which I have purchased…and on some sits, I have seen the same things.
But if you really want to see how they work…do what I did. Buy a pack, bury some poop in bag in your yard and leave it there for a year. The next year, dig them up. If they have a money back guarantee, keep your receipt so you can get your money back when it doesn’t degrade.

You know what (typed in my best Northern England accent) Im going to do that. I’ll pop the full poo bag in the garden down near the veg patch with a stake naming it

LOVE IT!!!
A friend of mine felt a bit self conscious whilst carrying a full poo bag so he put it in his jacket pocket. When he got home, he hung up his jacket in the porch, totally forgetting about the poo bag, for 3 days!

Why did you bury poop in your back yard? Did the instructions say that the poop bags would decompose within a certain time frame?
If biodegradable items get buried without exposure to bacteria, light, heat, oxygen, and moisture, they may not be able to decompose at all.

They are advertised as, “Here this year, gone the next!” They weren’t so…
I didn’t turn into Bill Nye…just a simple real world reasonable thing. Certainly leaving them within my eyesight isn’t something I wanted to look at!
That image you’ve conjured up is magic @Twitcher love it! We have one sit where the poo bags are scented and there are always tonnes of them, never thought I’d say it but a pleasure to use those poo bags #designerpoobags

Have you noticed how some folk prefer to adorn trees with full poo bags? I don’t get that at all and not sure if it’s specific to the UK. If you have gone to the trouble to pick it up why wouldn’t you dispose of it responsibly?

No idea! Haven’t seen it much outside the UK but yes, crazy behaviour.
Around where I live that happens, but also leaving very full bags to accumulate by street signs
