Some sits asking the world

Thank you for sharing your summer adventures. We are heading to Scotland and just outside of London for a 2 month stint. 1 for a month and the other for 10 days giving us some exploring time and a chance to visit friends who will be Housesitting in the York area.
We haven’t been to as many countries as you, working on it. Ireland is also on our list.

That sounds like an awesome Housesit. We love all our housesits, haven’t had one we didn’t like. We do look after horses quite often and had the opportunity to Housesit in France on a horse farm with 22 horses…all in pasture with only 5 needing special feed in the morning. 4 pigs, 2 goats, cats, chickens and a dog. There are 2 of us and we have been asked back next year.

22 horses in France sounds amazing!!! Did you have horse experience before this? It’s my dream to horsesit someday, but maybe only a pair of them to start.

Looking after horses is great. Poo-picking their fields every day really isn’t :weary:

@Saltrams This is me discovering that very point (with my little helpers)!! Who knew one horse could produce so much  It was an experience but I’m with you on this one

Thankfully we didn’t need to pick the fields. 14 of the horses were in a pasture in the mountains and we only had to take the quad up every couple days to check on them.
The other horses were split between 3 other big pastures.

Yes, we both had a horse in our teens/early 20’s. Our daughter was an equestrian rider and so is our granddaughter. We don’t do any riding, we just care and love them.
