I just saw yet another post (on another forum) from a sitter wanting to contact a host whose sit clearly says “dates can be flexible”, but the posted dates overlap the sitter’s schedule by one day, so they can’t apply. This is someone who will already be in the HO’s city prior to their sit and it could potentially be a great match.
Is it possible to add something to the site so HOs who know their dates are flexible can post a +/- number of days from the start, end or both so sitters with an overlap within this range could apply? This would benefit both HO and sitter. As it is, HOs whose plans either may not be set in stone, or whose sit may require some flexibility on their part have to choose dates and just say “my dates are flexible”. I’m sure many (most?) HOs don’t even realize that lots of willing sitters can’t even contact them.
