we are new here. One question: Is it possible to offer a sit by offering a time frame? We are flexible. For example we want to visit another town for 2 days in october, but are open to the exact date. How to proceed?
Thank you very much for answering! (i searched the forum for an hour and tried the chat with the “artificial intelligence” guy.)
Great feature idea though — to put in ideal dates but check a “flexible” box, or enter “Flexible” dates with total number of days & a date range. Just might be challenging to figure out how it might coordinate with the search function for sitters…
I’ve been told that hosts already can tick a box “flexible dates “ …only problem is that is not visible to sitters !!!
@Mark_B@Jenny
please feedback to the team that this box is pointless if sitters can’t see it and actually creates confusion because hosts assume that we can …
Flexible dates are unfortunately sometimes tricky technologically. I previously wrote this post with tips to help mitigate those issues. In your case, consider posting two two-date ranges in October (maybe one early in the month, one at the end of the month) to make it more likely that sitters with a saved search will be notified and to ensure they can reach out to you even if they have a conflicting sit over one of the date ranges.
I was once asked by a homeowner if I could do a few days nbetween about a six week time frome, which actually worked out well as fitted it in with another sit In was finishing. But this was because I had applied for a previous sit with the home owner, which I did not get as it had been offered to another jst before I applied. It was nice that I was remebered and then contacted again.
