Since February I’ve been hosting the THS Community Video Call once per month.

Thank you to those who joined todays call, it was great to see some new faces and reconnect with others :slight_smile:

I wanted to create a new topic for upcoming calls. The next call will be on

Sunday 19th July at 5pm (UK time)

You’re welcome to join, wherever you are in the world, and whether you’re a solo sitter or not!

Hi, I did send a message regarding this, if the one I think it is a couple of weeks back. Had a reply asking for my email address, which I sent. It bounced back a couple of times but then I thought message had gone through? . I never heard anything back regarding how to make the zoom call though?
I did manage the zoom calls a couple of times when Vanessa did them.
It would always be helpful if a reminder posted her a couple of days beforehand and also if the zoom information could be put here, as I never received it. Thank you.

@hitchedandhiking I would love to join the THS community video call in September. I’m totally new to the forum (not new to housesitting) and I don’t know how to send you a DM! I’m happy to pass along my email.

Welcome to the TrustedHousesitters Forum!!

The quickest way to send a DM, is to;

  • Select the username of the member you’d like to privately message
  • Select the Message button, on their profile card
  • A text box will appear at the bottom of the screen - whatever you type will privately be sent to that member

Hey @Mark_B - I didn’t see that option yesterday - turns out, it takes 24 hours before a new user is able to see the “Message” button, just FYI. I figured that was the case, so I waited til this morning, and it was available. I’m a software tester, stuff like this happens often! Just wanted to let you know of the restriction, thanks for your help!

Sure @han-gi ,

To send a direct message (DM), click on the icon with a picture or initial beside the member’s username, then click on the green Message box on the upper right. A text box will open. Write your message there, then click Send message and it will be sent privately to the member. You have a lovely weekend too! :blossom:
