We are going to India after a sit and wonder if anyone can recommend a good tour company. We would like to do a group tour of the Golden Triangle.
Golden triangle is not hard to do without a tour if you are interested in independent travel. We organised it ourselves in 2018 and I would think even easier to do now. Feel free to pm me if I can help in any way.
Cheers
Cathie
We toured north and south India over two months. Everything was amazingly organised by magic India. All drivers, guides, transport and accommodation. We had one hotel that turned out to be a building site, within an hour of notifying Ranjeet we were in another hotel
Ive pretty much just came back from india. I traveled Agra, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Pushkar and Jesailmer alone as a woman but i was in india before so i know pretty much how things work. If I had limited time I would skip Delhi. I would include Pushkar since its already very near Jaipur. could even just be a day trip from Jaipur. I stayed in Pushkar two weeks just to chill. Its a very holy city. Right now there is a big camel festival festival going on. Jesailmer is very special since its a desert town and the buildings are amazing. Some people find Udaipur is best city around there but I travelled so much so i didnt go there in the end. Jaipur is how peiple imagine india from a post card. Dont miss the monkey temple in the early morning, that was my highlight there.
Enjoy!
My highlight of India was the palace lightings in Mysore on a Sunday night. Elephants, chanting monks , fabulous atmosphere. Pushkar camel fair is also spectacular, and obviously the Taj Mahal, but horrendous queues. We also enjoyed the coolness of the tea plantations in Munnar. We backpacked round India for years when younger. Indian trains are an experience!! Don’t forget your visa and vaccinations and malaria tablets. It would be cheaper to get your own flights, then pick up an organised tour from India.
