Travel to the US

Good to know. I appreciate your perspective and wish you well in your sitting experiences. As feedback, your responses were not at all like sounding you were “understanding different reasons and circumstances”

Glad to know that was not your intent and a broadened perspective helps.
Sadly, many parts of the world are a little kooky right now with choices directly being impacted by populism issues, politics, and economic instability.

Safe travels to all

So, you say everyone should respect other’s opinions/perspectives, but then you immediately say my perspective is wrong. I don’t see why you are so against the group discussing current travel considerations for the US.

I might travel to the US again if the situation improves in a few years’ time, when a certain gentleman, his posse, and their mess will be left behind.

As an American, I am very sorry anyone is dealing with this. It’s very scary. I have not been in the US for most of this year and am not looking forward to returning but I have to (I don’t feel particularly safe either). If I didn’t have to, I might not. If you don’t have to, I HATE saying this but maybe safest to wait this out to be sure. :frowning:

@Rhonda, we’re inverting perspective. Rather than determining any country that we seek to avoid, then we’re taking a fresh positive reflection at continents/countries that we would actively love to visit. Big world out there. Plenty of adventure opportunities.

That is true. I have my dream sit coming up, and wish that for everyone. (I don’t even have 5* in the hundreds and still got it :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: ).

Lucky you. I’m German and left Germany because my human rights were violated.

That’s not good. Do you mind if I ask what rights were being violated in Germany? It’s a country I enjoy travelling to.

Hi everyone,

I’ve reviewed this discussion, and I think it’s best to close it to new replies now. I’m concerned that opposing views might continue to escalate, meaning that the guideline I quoted in my previous reply might be broken. I genuinely don’t like to close discussions, but I can see that there’s been some moderation overnight and that there has been a bit of focus on specific political affiliations, which is what I’d wanted to avoid.

Thank you to everyone who popped on and shared their opinions and concerns about this subject. If there’s an opportunity in the future to have conversations like this, I’ll do my best to make sure there’s a space to do so.

Appreciate your understanding on this one
