Is there a glitch with the welcome guide? It’s made but doesn’t show up..still just says “requested” on both web and app. Happened twice now. (Android)
I don’t see the sitter side of the workings of this platform but it appears to me from what you wrote that you requested a copy of the Welcome Guide yet the HO has yet to provide it.

Given the additional provided information I change my answer is changed to “this site has a lot of random glitches that affect users differently if at all and it happens on both the app and the website or on only one”.
Yes, there do seem to be some areas needing more nip and tuck, and others a bit less re-sculpting. But since the autoresponse before confirming even states;
“Don’t leave them hanging! Once you’ve confirmed, you’ll be able to access your Welcome Guide”
I presume this isn’t a question of priority, THS isn’t going to leave this hanging either..
That autoresponse is rather misleading. On the homeowners end we are prompted to share our welcome guide but it doesn’t happen on it’s own. In many cases including my own, the built in Welcome Guide isn’t even utilized. I keep mine on my Google Drive and send a link so the sitter can view it or download it at any time.
I’m not surprised. When exactly are you prompted, and does it happen more than once like the review-push messages?
As I have a pending sit in 2 months, whenever I click on “Sits” in my THS Dashboard a window comes up that says “Now that [sitter-name] is confirmed, share your Welcome Guide covering everything from pet preferences to emergency info” along with the profile picture of the sitter and the dates of the pending sit. There is a button to press to share the guide.
Since I use my own version of the Welcome Guide, that prompt is always there, I’d guess until the sit actually takes place.

Do you get any prompts about the Welcome Guide before confirming a sit, or while creating/updating the listing?
I don’t recall any other Welcome Guide prompts although possibly there was one when I first created the listing. When I login to my THS account and go to ‘Listing’ the top two buttons under the title “Listing Hub” are “Listing” and next to it is “Welcome Guide”, and below that are buttons to view and edit the various sections of the listing itself.
@idocsteve Thank you so much! It’s useful to understand how the other end works🙌 So, the system doesn’t actually register whether a guide is made or finalized; it just prompts as if it is? Also, are there any sections or content in the listing you’re unable to edit/change once a housesit is confirmed?
It’s my understanding that the system doesn’t register when the Welcome Guide is made or finalized. Every section of the listing can be edited at any time, regardless of whether a sit is pending.
That’s what I thought too, so it’s good to have it confirmed. Like others, I’m trying to get the Guide as early as possible to avoid surprises..it does make that rather difficult when it isn’t received, glitch or not. Thanks again!
