Had a couple of great sitters but our latest advert has had a few lookers but no takers. Still got about 7 weeks to go but I guess we should start looking at alternatives.
We are in UK, what do others do as a backstop just in case. When do you cement those things in place and remove the listing?

I’m a sitter, but use a kennel for my pet if family can’t look after it. Rover and similar apps could also be an option.

I think I’d tidy up my photos of the house-just have a bit of a clear up as if you’re selling your house and recreate the pictures…. sorry but to be blunt it looks like you didn’t take any trouble to present your home in the best way: cluttered coffee table dressing gowns hanging on doors etc. would it look like this when the sitters arrive? Look, sitters are nervous of getting a messy house to deal with, so don’t give them any notion that might be the situation with yours. Also why no pictures of the outside of the house? The last review mentions barking issues- definitely address this head on in your listing and maybe what you’ve done about it.
Best wishes.

You could open it up as family friendly as its half term week in the UK? Would like to see an outside pic of the house, a better one of the lounge & maybe one of Brandon as you say it’s a lovely place? Responsibilities sound straightforward for the pups & diet and walks all seem reasonable. You need someone okay with the barking is probably the biggest challenge, as a WFHer that would drive me a bit bonkers. Is there a tip to stop them doing it? Kennels or FB groups or local paid sitter’s probably the three back up plans. HT week is going to be competitive so make some tweaks & pause and relist and you’ll go the “new” lisitings again. #halftermhappiness
