What’s your most interesting “hack” you have learned from staying in other people’s homes?

I will go first. Frozen limes for G&Ts

This one has frozen strawberries for ice cream!

I didn’t learn This from someone else’s home, but I use it IN other peoples homes:

Some home owners who use plastic Tupperware instead of glass, which we know can stain. I line it with an oversize piece of clingfilm before putting my food in, so I don’t stain it.

I’ve stayed at a few places that boasted a ‘large, deep bathtub’—but forgot the small detail of a plug😅 At this point, I’m basically the MacGyver of bath-stopper improvisation. Nothing’s coming between me and a proper soak😄

That a modern high quality dishwasher with a good quality detergent pod cleans perfectly well on the 30 minute, light load cycle (even with cooked on food on a baking dish).

Not learned on a sit, but I freeze red seedless grapes. They are as sweet as candy!

That you can actually get a machine to squeeze oranges and lemons! (But not in the UK. In the UK, they are all plastic and pants. You need to get one from a Mediterranean country – or the US, where there’s a machine for everything.)
