Something that might hang you up, especially with less and less time to find a sitter:

You have two pets at a year old or less. Some folks for instance won’t sit such young dogs. They’ve said so in forum posts. Some folks love kittens, but maybe not in combo with a young dog.

I personally have sat year-old dogs on two sits. I won’t do it again and don’t recommend it, especially for telecommuters. That’s because they require a lot more attention and are more unpredictable than most older dogs.

JuliaS - Seriously do not give up! You have a lovely sit. Have to believe a good match will apply.
ONE suggestion: post either your lovely kitchen or the picture of the house as your MAIN post picture. There is a rather abstract picture right now - not sure what it is but it wouldn’t make me stop to read your post! Best of luck

Thanks for your message.
Having found a great sitter now I have only just seen your message which makes a good point.
Douglas is now one and a bit years old and quite laid back but young dogs are not for everyone!
