Having a terrific sit in Long Beach, in Southern California.
My lovable little cat friend, Gato, is skittish, but we’ve bonded well. He loves belly rubs, being brushed on his face and head, and occasionally being cuddled like a baby.
Before sunrise today, we were cuddling and looking out of a picture window in the living room, watching dozens and dozens of runners and bicyclists speeding past for some kind of event.
Yesterday, I took a boat to Catalina — an island off the coast — for a several hours. It was luxuriously relaxing. The scenery and weather were gorgeous. People were friendly and polite. Plenty of music, including live. Cute shops, lovely art and endless food and drink.
My tasty lunch by the water came from a 360-pound swordfish that they’d caught that morning.
Next time I visit Catalina, I might stay a few days. The hotels look great and there are plenty of activities — hiking, parasailing, shows, a casino and more. There’s a huge conservation area to explore. Renting golf carts to tour the island is common, too.
On the way there, the beautiful boat ride included dozens of dolphins jumping around, just breaking the water line. We passed by the Queen Mary and a huge cruise ship as well.

I didn’t know you could stay aboard. I’ve actually been meaning to see whether it was worth a visit.

My two new friends! Valais Blacknose sheep really are very cute. I also have 2 horses, 1 dog, 1 cat, 4 ducks and 6 chickens, all in bonnie Scotland in the Kingdom of Fife.

I’m in South Carolina this week with 6 cats and a parrot. It’s a bit of work but worth it. The cats are all so much fun! Four of them are blue eyed. I love them all to pieces!
