Who's on a house sit now? How's it going?

@botvot I’m so sorry to hear about your rough start. No, they’re not all easy, but I hope it’s a smooth road for you from here on. Good luck, stay safe.

just home from a fabulous 4 week holiday in Canada.

8 of these days were on a NON THS sit for a cousin with these 2 beautiful cats. My first international sit, I loved it.

Linus, the boy, in his favourite box

Lucy, the girl, helping me with my favourite word game. She also sat behind me and gave great head massages!

I had a sit with a sweet lab that was a rescue from Mexico. Hated trucks. Any kind of trucks. And was an escape artist, so they had some harness that looked like a body armor. And the waist thing for the leashes. We walked the neighborhood streets mostly, since going to the one trail required a half mile walk along a busy street where every 3rd vehicle was a truck. That dog went ballistic. So I totally get what happened to you.

How are you now @botvot - I hope you’ve had more luck since your bad day

Thanks @Jenny much, much better! My knee is producing all kinds of colourful art patterns, but the worst is past and the dogs and the housesit are great. The nervous one is much better, but still hit an anxious patch from time to time. We just let her be. She’s back to her happy self after a good nap.

Aw I’m glad you’re on the mend, bruises come in some spectacular colours don’t they! The pup is absolutely adorable, look at that face!

I’m very glad to hear you’re healing and that the anxious pup is settling down.

A thought for the mods - this thread is now over 3k messages long and 4 years old. Might it make sense to split it - not immediate but maybe from beginning to Dec 2024 and a new thread from January to now. Most of the time when I open the thread I’m taken to the most recent messages, but sometimes I am taken back to the beginning and scrolling to the end can take a toll on the wrist.

Hi @toml

I’m just tagging @Jenny for visibility so that she can look at this when she is back online.

Hello everyone!

As suggested by @toml I have started a new discussion here so you can all continue sharing about your current sits. I’ve not moved over any existing posts, just to keep it fresh and new, but I have linked to this discussion so that people can pop back and catch up on the last of the posts here.

I’m closing the thread now so that the new one can get going. Looking forward to seeing who will be the first to post in the new thread!

Jenny
