Why would folks apply for a sit and then ghost?

If you really like the sitter, you could reply again and say WHY you like their profile and that you are very interested in doing a video chat. Offer a couple times/dates to schedule one pre-emptively. If you are a kind HO and have good communication this in itself could get a sitter to re-look at your listing. They have ALREADY applied and didnt withdrawl so there is interest. #flatteryishelpful
