Hi,

We are going away to sell our artwork at a comic con this weekend.

I wonder if anyone would be available to sit our boy?

We have Baxter, our Jack Russell, he is a little elderly but still relatively active. We are based in Romsey by the New Forest. We regularly have sitters over and we have many positive reviews.

We did have a sitter booked for this weekend, however, due to a family emergency they have had to withdraw at the last minute. That leaves us with an emergency of our own and we wondered if you would be able to help us out? We understand that it is very short notice but we would be grateful if you would consider sitting for us.

Have you considered asking any of your past sitters if they are available to help you out @SymonandPamela? With the introduction of booking fees, unfortunately, short sits are not that attractive to sitters who do not have Premium membership.

Romsey is a lovely little town, we did a sit near there last year. However we’ll be in Wales those dates.

I hope you find someone, we re in a similar predicament as we are off to Sci-Fi Scarborough to sell our goodies. We’ve not had one bit and I’ve invited old and new. They either don’t reply or can’t do it, which is fare enough.

This is our 2nd year with THS and it’s been a tough road all the way. Only getting 2 sits so far in that time.

You might want to consider removing all the other dates from your listing and editing it to include “urgent” in the title and adding a para at the top specifically stating that you’re urgently looking for a sitter following a last minute cancellation and that you will respond to any applications asap.

Ah! We went there a couple of years back, a lovely little con. We’re at Horrorfied in Crawley.

Do you house sit when you attend conventions?

Seems like there would be an opportunity for this to work ( for cat sits ) and you would save on accommodation costs .

We travel in our van. The sit is for our pets at home. We couldn’t do a sit in Scarbados as it’s a very long work day.
