Sit due to start tomorrow but arranged with sitter to arrive today as coming long distance. This afternoon she has cancelled, unforseen circumstances. I get life happens and I really shouldn’t complain but jeez, I’m sitting in a sparkling house with everything packed.

Where are you? Maybe you can get a last minute sit if you’re in a popular area? That’s so frustrating to be let down at the last minute. I’m sorry this has happened to you.

@Mollybob, THS Forum has a ‘last minute sits’ area. You’d be eligible. Suggest add listing to your profile and give it a shot. Not much downside. Rapid marketing may find a rapid replacement.

So very sorry this has happened to you. I looked at your listing and it sounds fabulous but not everyone’s cup of tea. I do hope that you find someone. Could you put Flexible dates on your heading (if they are flexible). If you are planning on going away in your caravan I’m guessing you could delay for a day if needed.
Your sit was amazing and if my kid hadn’t just started secondary school we would be there.
I reckon you could find someone - you may have to delay till tomorrow, but it looks like a lovely sit.

Oh no! Sorry to hear this! it happens a lot to sitters. Life does happen and hopefully you have a back up plan. This is one of the risks when entering a barter situation. Maybe THS insurance can help!
The date on your only listing is April 2026…..
@BonnyinBrighton that would be because the HO has a confirmed booking for the current dates with the sitter who just cancelled. The current dates won’t show. Such a hassle now to cancel the confimed sit and relist at such very short notice. I do hope @Mollybob that you can work something out and I also hope the sitter had an extremely good reason for letting you down at such short notice. I feel for you.
