A Sunny hello from Derbyshire

Ah, if only younger son and I broke up from school slightly earlier in July, we would be applying. Your listing is wonderful and sounds exactly our sort of sit. I completely understand about being distracted by the wildlife in the garden. I think we took hundreds of wildlife photos on just one walk on our recent sit in Scotland. And today we were nearly late leaving for school as we were all watching the fox in the garden!

Awww you sound like the perfect sitters!! I am rather laughed at in my family for taking SO many photos of all the birds and animals we see LOL I would definitely be distracted by a fox - much more interesting than school!! Keep in contact - if you have a time that you fancy dog sitting let us know and we might just do a weekend away somewhere that’s harder with dogs in tow! x PS Photo taken on our patio <3

What a lovely part of the world! I have family in Barlow and visited them in March 2020 just as pandemonium set in around the world. Made it back to Australia just in time! They had 6 dogs so I was in heaven!:joy:

It is a lovely part of the world. You did well to make it back!! My daughter was supposed to be going to Australia for a year in 2020 (to visit relatives) - she is finally getting to go this autumn!

My 11 year old son likes to use the ā€œbig cameraā€ take photos of wildlife. We haven’t downloaded them yet, but I have a strong suspicion that we could have around a hundred photos of rabbits in the distance! He would be absolutely in his element being able to see them on the patio! I have favourited you listing so we should be notified of any future dates. We will definitely keep in contact as we would love to sit for Barney and Sunshine

@DerbyshireGirl your dogs and home sound wonderful, and you come across as very nice in your listing.
I will mention the photos.
I had to scroll for a long time to get to the first picture of a dog! A couple of photos of the dogs together and separately will be fine. I would rethink the photos of dogs at the beach as people who don’t know the geography may assume you are near the sea! Maybe consider a photo of the two dogs as your main image? They would hook me in!
I would juggle the order of the other photos a bit too. You have a lovely home, and for me the living and eating areas are most important. I only sleep in the bedroom, so I was flicking through all the bedroom shots to get to the main living spaces. Your kitchen is gorgeous, so put that near the front, along with dining area, lounge, garden.
I also loved the bunny photo! But not before the dogs!

Thank you so much for your feedback. I did think that the photos were in a strange order but not being the most computer savvy person I was unsure how to reorganise them. I shall go back and have another look (and if I can’t work it out I will ask one of my young adult children who will no doubt do it in a flash!). I really appreciate you taking the time to give the feedback - this seems such a lovely friendly group of people <3 xx

Thank you - hope to meet you one day x

Hello well you really do live in a beautiful part of the country especially for the dogs. I used to go out Matlock way about once a year when travel up north from Nottingham to visit family in Morecambe. . Matlock Bath was always a stop off point and the roads to and from when real english country side. Haven’t been there for years now as I live abroad. By the sounds of it you have already found many new friends and possible dog sitters here in the forum. Have fun and enjoy TH

Hi Maggie  We used to live in Matlock Bath - a really interesting place! And yes, it is really beautiful around where we are now. If you ever fancy a visit down memory lane when you come back to England let us know and we’ll see if we can arrange a weekend away without dogs to coincide  x
