A Survey will be landing in your inbox soon!

The survey is already on Facebook.

Hi @Carla. I know they said the survey would be sent out in batches and perhaps I will get one, but I never seem to receive surveys. I would definitely be interested in taking it and membership services are welcome to send it to me if they need more people. Thanks!

@KC1102 It’s great that you would like to take part. They are sending a few more batches out soon to make sure they go to all members, but I will pass your details to Membership Services to make sure you get one!

Pick an option, then another question appears, “would you buy this option?”

But none of the options are suitable or something that I would choose - there’s no option to say “None of these” - I could put in false answers ( pick an option that’s not suitable ) just to get a chance of winning an Amazon voucher but I don’t see the point of completing a survey with false answers .

@Silversitters - and I don’t see the point in completing a survey when the outcome is a foregone conclusion.
At the end of the day it will be what members asked for :joy:

What in the actual flippin heck? I don’t care if it’s anonymous, I said the same thing on the survey. All this is, is trying to find out how little people will accept for how much money. Trying to find a way to word this so it doesn’t get hidden, but, limits on your activity for higher prices. Who comes up with this stuff! I’ve been a member for four years, and it has been great. I would like to continue. But if they start doing some of the things that this survey suggests, I might be out.
What part of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it“ do y’all not understand?

I found that on all the payment options you could click one, even though you would not condsider it, as underneath there was a yes/no option, to say if you would actually buy it. i always clicked ‘no’. Seemed rather pointless.

@Silversitters I thought so too but if you move the sceen to see what is below there is another option.

Did get the survey and did my best to answer, including doing the research I needed to get some answers. Reached a point where specific numbers were requested, and since I didn’t have any idea what to put in those fields, I tried to skip that part.

The survey won’t let you skip any questions, and seemed stupid for me to just put Zeros to get by a section when there was no comment box. So I replied with that info to the email, and, as usual - that email does not take replies.

So frustrated - may have to go back and put fake numbers in just to answer the rest of the questions, which of course makes the numerical data useless. What a shame to block a question and close off the rest of the survey.

The survey was painful. Truly painful with silly membership schemes and pricing offered as potential options. Pointless.

I don’t have a problem losing my anonymity as I stand by my thoughts about some of the directions THS is going in.

@Savuti94 if they implement the ridiculous tiered system I think they will simply encourage sitters and hosts to arrange sits outside of the platform.

@ABGM my thoughts exactly! It is getting beyond a joke and straying so far from the original model that I am considering joining the rival platforms they so kindly listed.

The blank boxes in the survey are our opportunity to inform of these exact items.

Unfortunately, I was unprepared for the survey (see: under-caffeinated ) and was confused by the weird options the survey had presented…so by the time the blank box opportunity was on my screen, I was already ready to give up on the survey.

I have just completed the survey and have lost the will to live.
As others have suggested, a move to even more tiered memberships is on the way…

I agree.

And I’m gonna nerd out here for a moment:

In my 20’s I worked in tech. Specifically data analysis. And though that was an entirely different era of technology, I recognized the methodology being used in the formatting/presentation of the questions.

It mimics the way personality tests are set up. With the added aid of AI.

A series of questions are asked, but presented in several uniquely different ways, to narrow down and pinpoint the users answers.

When a question is asked yes/no…the answer is extracted.

Then the answer is asked in 2-3 different ways (those annoying tiered pricing options :joy: :joy: :joy: were built to extract the option that is most important).

The next page that appears is determined by the current answers given (that was obvious more so at the beginning of the survey).

The processed data will reveal what’s ‘most common.’

I was a bit put-off by the survey, and embarrassed to realize at about 51% complete I was only finishing for the possibility of a prize :joy: …but we are programmed/wired to respond to the dangling carrot so I got over myself quicker than usual. :joy:

Whew. That was alot all before 10am. :joy: Early retirement has given me the gift of ‘not raring to go’ first thing in the morning.

:sloth: :sloth::sloth:

Yep! Think about all the major things that have been hot topics and think very carefully about your answers.

Bingo! It’s glaringly obvious where THS is going with tiered memberships.

I thought this quote would be an interesting one to save and reflect on in the months to come…
