In addition to HO’s sometimes stating the wrong city/nearest big city, most of the issue is with the accuracy of the location on the map. In the above thread another member and I tried some location experiements and realized by trial and error that some older listings show a more accurate location. But new listings – within the last couple of years, show a very general location. All NYC listings, for example, will show a dot that would be in lower Manhattan/Financial District for example even if the HO lives in Washington Heights and says so in the listings. All Brooklyn listings have a dot smack in the middle of Brooklyn. HOs have no control over this. It’s also been mentioned on other threads including the ones where people are allegedly leaving suggestions for future updates and improvements. It doesn’t seem that THS has any desire to correct this glitch, but sitters will continue to blame HOs for their locations being inaccurate.
Sometimes I think THS purposely sets things up so there is animosity between members.
