As a home owner I publish in advance where possible as I like to be organised. I answer everyone’s application on receipt just to acknowledge the contact. If someone doesn’t seem suitable I let them know within a couple of days so they are not left hanging.
As a housesitter I find it frustrating to be left hanging indefinitely if no one even acknowledges my application. If a HO is not interested I would rather know quickly so that I can move on.
Waiting until you have your 5 allocated applications may well take ages so unless you plan to respond to your applicants I wouldn’t list so far ahead. Good luck with your listings😊

I agree, it is frustrating and makes the HO look like a poor communicator.
