Hello, I’d like to ask if this has been the policy of THS or something new. My membership is about to end, I’ve put it on pause, and I cannot apply for a sit within the pause months any more , but for those after the pause, I still can. I don’t see the logic of this rule. Is this normal? Thank you!
It’s perfectly logical to me. You are technically not participating as a member of THS when your profile is paused. The homeowner does not have the protection they have with active members and couldn’t make a claim against you during the pause period. Why are you in pause when wanting to sit within those dates?
Thank you! I’ll try to edit my question, but I’d like to clarify that my membership is STILL active when I’m applying (of course).
My point is: as there are listings already for December 2026, can one JUST apply for a listing with dates within the membership’s active period? And why can I apply for a sit taking place after my pause, not knowing if I will renew or not? Maybe THS implies I will renew…
The security point does and does not make much sense at the same time. If I apply now, the pet owner will see my profile. If I sit in November, I may not be a member anymore… I think, if my profile wouldn’t be already on pause, I’d be able to apply to sits happening within a “potential” pause period.
