I love this idea! We actually just had a sitter cancel 12 days before she was supposed to do two back to back sits for us 
Luckily for us we had a sitter in the past who I reached out to for a different sit later this year who happened to land a remote job and is going to sit for us unless we get lucky and a sitter applies! We were lucky that she is willing to do this on such short notice! But having a last minute sit page I think is a great idea for situations like this one we are in!

Great idea. I have blank days in December and January. And have no ideas after searching hard. This will make it very easy.

Hi All! We’re in dire need of a sitter over holiday period in Dublin, Ireland, as our sitter needed to cancel last minute due to personal reasons. We’ve tried to reach out to everyone who saved our listing, but so far no luck. If you have any ideas how we can reach potential sitters or are available yourself.

We have had a last minute cancellation and I’m trying to navigate where to post a request for a sitter.
It’s too bad nothing ever came of this idea. I don’t see why we can have a thread for HOs to post last minute sits but not one for sitters to post last minute availability.

As Sunnubunny says - with less than 7 days to sit you can publish in the Last minute-section. here on Forum. It will ofc also show as Last minute whne publishing dates on the site also, so just an added layer of attention.
