Hi. Another question: Can sit results be set for “nearest?” I swear I saw this function on results earlier, but cannot find it now. Did I imagine it? If I did, seems like it would be yet another useful function.
Thanks,
Richard

I can see “Distance” as an option in the “Sort by” button (on the web version) when I search by city, but it is not there when I search by country.
Hi. Thanks for replying.
I guess I meant “distance.” That filter does indeed appear when searching, but not when looking at listings on a saved search. There is no distance filter, nor do the search results appear as I asked (by distance).
This is really frustrating and quite hard to believe, if I may say. Somebody, please tell me I’m missing something.
Thanks.
I can see “distance” as an option for my saved searches on the web version of THS. However, there are no “sort by” options on the app ![]()
Thanks. That’s good to know. I guess I need to turn on my computer or THS needs new app designers (I think this goes without saying)
.
Thanks again.
@RichardNYC I have the same options as you for my saved searches, regardless of whether I use the app or website. I think it may reflect what criteria you put for your saved search.
For example, one of mine is for a Canadian province and two are for countries. There’s no way that distance would work for them. However, given @Lassie’s feedback, perhaps if your search is a more specific one, such as a city that’s also picking up other locations in the wider circle, then you may be able to opt for distance. I don’t have a saved search for something like this so I can’t be sure.
Hi. Thanks for responding. Yes, I am saving a particular city, in this case, Weaverville, NC, where I have friends. However, the saved search gives me results from all over Western North Carolina, and there seems no way to adjust this. Not only that, when I go to map view, I am unable to zoom into Weaverville (I shouldn’t have to, anyways).
Thanks again.
The other thing to do (if you haven’t already) is to favourite all the individual sits you like the look of in your chosen destination. If those owners publish new sit dates, then those alerts come through faster than the general location ones. No idea why but it helps by an hour or so! #giveitawhirl
Hey @Cuttlefish did you have a squiz at my latest comment on this topic?
Responsibilities glitch on App
Just discovered another aspect of this: The map search only works “correctly” for some of my saved locations, all in Europe. Not so for North American saved locations. Instead, half of the continent is shown, and when I try to zoom in, the results crash as often as not.
