Can't contact pet owner (or membership service)

We have applied for a sit around Xmas this year. The owner has sent us a message that she favours our application and suggested a video chat before the sit starts. The owner is a first-time user on THS and granted us the sit immediately at the same time; before any more communication . We didn’t accept the offer but wrote 2 more messages via THS which the owner didn’t read or responded to. I guess there is a problem with using the portal and receiving e-mails on the owner side. Any ideas how to directly contact the owner. Or can THS contact the owner on my behalf? Trying to get help from THS via “chat” has been very tiring. Been sent in circles with no help at all and false info. No way to get through to membership service. I’ve done this successfully in the past but can’t find how anymore.

On the chat bot, just say you want to speak to a human. Many chat bots work that way, FWIW.

seems to work; a human is now working backto the whole conversation with “frankie”, the ChatBot. Thank you

FWIW, I would count this as a pretty big red flag and reconsider the sit. There are a bajillion sits available around the holidays that you can choose from. So unless this one is just extraordinary for some reason, I’d probably withdraw.

Same here. Delayed communication, especially long-time delay…BIG red flag. Chances are they are talking to someone else. “waiting to hear back”. You will probably get a message in a few days or weeks like “Sorry, but we are going with someone else”. Withdraw your app, cut your loses, and move on. SO many holiday sits.

As they are first time users of THS @Manfred, I would be more thinking they have not really looked into the actual process of confirming a sitter. They probably think that all they had to do was press the Confirm button for you as their sitter without realising it isn’t confirmed until you have agreed to the sit, which you haven’t. Hopefully MS are helping you and in contact with the HOs to help them understand the process.

Established contact to owner (credits for first-time user) and hope to have our video chat next sunday. Should that fail, we will most probably decline the offer.
